Photomusic Boutique Rooms was born first and foremost from the desire to create something of our own.
A passion for travel and tourism inspired us to imagine a place that truly represents us and can tell, through its spaces and small details, our way of understanding hospitality. A project that would allow us, in some way, to keep breathing that atmosphere we love so much when we are the ones traveling.
Welcoming our guests, assisting them during their stay, sharing with them a small part of the journey and collecting their satisfaction is one of the aspects we love most about this experience. Senigallia was naturally a great source of inspiration: a city where the sea lives alongside a historic center full of life, culture and music. From this came the idea of creating a contemporary property, different from traditional solutions, where design, technology, comfort and personality could coexist.

From ruins to design: our role in the renovation
When we bought the property, a 19th-century building, its condition no longer allowed it to be lived in. Even so, we immediately saw its potential.
Thus began a major renovation project, which involved the almost total demolition and reconstruction of the property. A complex intervention, carried out in successive phases to respect the delicate urban context in which the structure is set.
Michele personally followed the entire life cycle of the project as Project Manager, taking care of the design and the direction of the architectural works. The final project is also the result of an ongoing family dialogue: Andreea followed every phase alongside Michele, passionately overseeing finishes, materials and interior design.
Photomusic therefore already carries something of us in its architecture: we didn’t simply choose how to furnish it, but we imagined and built it around our idea of an exclusive stay in Senigallia
Photography and Music: the origin of the name Photomusic
The name Photomusic brings together two worlds deeply tied to Senigallia’s identity: photography and music.
Photography finds here one of its highest expressions in the figure of Mario Giacomelli and in a tradition that continues to live on through exhibitions and cultural events. Music, instead, accompanies the city all year round, culminating in the famous Summer Jamboree and in the many summer concerts.
Photography and music are two extraordinary languages: a photograph freezes a moment, a song takes us right back to a place or a state of mind. From this idea comes our concept: a place where you can experience Senigallia, listen to your own music, and take with you lasting memories.

Colors and materials: a tribute to the Marche region
The choice of colors and materials also comes from the land. We favored pastel shades, soft and relaxing: blue recalls the Adriatic Sea, while beige evokes the earth and the inland villages.
Entrance flooring: A timeless cement tile, linking the building’s historic soul to its contemporary character.
In the rooms: Wood-effect porcelain stoneware adds warmth and creates an intimate atmosphere.
In the bathrooms: A cladding that reproduces the texture of sand, a tribute to Senigallia’s famous Velvet Beach.
Alongside the aesthetic component we added technology: the surfaces use an advanced antibacterial treatment with silver ions. Every detail at Photomusic has a reason and a story to tell.
Challenges and reflections: a journey made with heart
As happens with the most important projects, the path has not always been linear. There were moments when we had to stop, rethink our ideas and ask ourselves whether certain choices were worth the effort required.
But it is precisely these challenges that allowed us to define Photomusic’s identity with precision. Often, it is the most debated choices that give a hospitality venue its soul and most authentic character.
